How to do more of what's meaningful in 2018

Hey guys, Happy New Year!, yeah I know it's pretty late, but hey it's all good.
Anyways, I planned to post earlier than this but, well, certain things are beyond my control. And am I the only one who did absolutely nothing meaningful with January. *sigh*. As long as January seemed to be, the only productive thing I did was matriculate. And uhh, gained a few pounds....(if that counts as being productive.).
So how to be more productive and do more for yourself this year.

1. Make a journal.
Ok. First step, write down everything you hope to achieve this year, like eve....ry....thing, and then, arrange them in order of priority, and how possible it really is. And remember nothing mediocre(tell yourself the truth a little). Make it a mantle, and always strive towards the ones at the top.

2. Get comfortable with the word 'no'
Personally, I forget the word 'no' when asked to do something. I guess there's a still a few people w…

Hey Beautiful!, Merry Christmas!

Tis the season, but before we get carried away with all the activities, and excitement and fun, let us take our time to know who and what we're celebrating. Why we're celebrating. A few years back, I watched Glee, and my favourite episode is the Christmas episode. They did really spread the love. Rachel and Blaine's 'Extra ordinary Christmas' gets me in the mood all the time. And Rory read my favorite Bible chapter of all time. But before I share it with you, here are a few I would also love to share. 1st John 5:11
"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."
He is the gift of eternal life. John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" Isaiah 7:14
"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

6 habits that make you look older than you really are.

Recently, I've been having a few challenges with going out, and when I eventually do go out, I do not take pictures because everytime I look at the camera I cringe at the way I look, same thing happens when I look in the mirror. I suddenly looked older and stressed with a lot of frown lines and funny looking skin, so I decided to do little research on how to look younger (I guess)and Implement a few tips, and they're actually relatable and they work. My looks may not be where I want them to be, but I'm no longer camera shy. So here's a few thing you're probably doing wrong, or not just doing too well. 1. Junk to veggies and fruits ratio.        How many times do we actually remember veggies and fruits, are they in your diets...? They are definitely a compulsory thing for a healthier and glowing skin. The skin can protect itself from a lot, but there's a higher chance, if you consume nutrients found in fruits and vegetables.2. Not drinking enough water.   …

10 lazy girl beauty hacks, no one ever tells you about.

A lot of people have it wrong about us lazy girls. But on the Contrary, we just want to look good but in a shorter amount of time. And it is not impossible to look good with a shorter amount of time, simplifying beauty routines are actually easy,  With a few smart shortcuts, it’s possible to spend less time primping and still be a stone-cold fox. Call it the low-maintenance paradox: less effort, more payoff.  So here are a few tips and hacks I use. I hope you find it as useful as I do. 1. Are your brows a mess and your brow gel is nowhere to be found...? Just simply grab your lip balm.    Lip balm is the perfect texture for brow-taming—swipe some on, then use a spooly to brush your rebellious brows in place. So much easier than, going all the way across the street to buy new brow gel.2. Smudged your eyeliner and you're too lazy to start all over again (it can be very annoying. I know.)      So you're almost done with drawing your near perfect cat-eye and then it just goes astr…

How well do you know your skin?. 4 easy ways to find out.

The basic and most important step in caring for your skin comes in understanding your specific skin type and how it adapts to certain circumstances or seasonality. Your skin is your body’s largest organ, as complex and intelligent as your heart, lungs, liver and other vital organs. Using cleansers and treatments that are too harsh, even if they are recommended for excessive oiliness, may send the signal to your skin that more oil is actually needed. Conversely, applying moisturizers that are too thick or heavy can result in decreased natural oil production, resulting in even drier skin. Taking the time to learn your skin’s specific needs will help you to choose the right options that will balance skin resulting in a healthier, more radiant complexion.
Every person’s skin is unique, but there are a few common skin types that may help you to identify where you skin fits in the most.  The three main skin types are commonly referred to as Oily, Normal/Combination, sensitive and D…

What do you know about your skin type?. The 4 basic skin types.

There are basically 4 skin types, although a few people would say 5,as they classify 'normal' and 'combination' skin types separately, but I would like to classify them together, because they basically behave the same way.
Dry skin can feel tight throughout the day, and may experience noticeable flaking and may appear scaly. Dry skin is largely due to a number of factors genetics, environmental factors, lifestyle & diet, hormonal changes. Dehydration is also a leading cause of dry skin, so if  you're someone with dry skin, drinking plenty of water and avoiding alcohol and, caffeine as they can make a significant difference in how your skin looks and feels.
The best moisturizers for dry skin are those containing hyaluronic acid (often listed as sodium hyaluronate in ingredients), glycerin, and marine actives like algae, because of their ability to attract water and deliver it directly to skin cells. Emollients, including s…
