Hip-hop star, Soulja Boy, issued an apology Wednesday after
taking part in a furious and quite serious feud with fellow musician Chris Brown over model Karrueche Tran earlier in this week.
He apologies, saying "I just want to send an apology," in a new video shared to social media. "Over the past couple of months I've bee/n acting out, I've been wilding out, and at the end of the day it's not about who starts the beefs, it's about who ends them."
Before we begin with today's big twist, we have to re-call all the events from last episode of #SouljaBoyGate2017.
Yesterday, we were all alerted to the blooming beef between Chris Brown and Soulja over an Instagram post on Karrueche Tran's profile. Then next thing we know, the two are sending words back and forth at each other and somewhere along the line a boxing match had been organized. Next thing we know, Soulja Boy appears to be in the hood and robbed of his cell phone during a live stream. And in between all of this drama happening, the artist managed to drop visuals for his new single "I Got The Sauce."
Soulja Boy,26,— whose real name is DeAndre Way — then explained that he recently learned his mother needed to be hospitalized. He said doctors assured him she'd be OK, but he contends nonetheless that she wouldn't be proud of his actions.
He concluded the mea culpa video by specifically naming several people he hopes to make amends with, including fellow rappers and feud rivals Lil Yacthy and Quavo.
"I want to make music with Chris Brown, Yachty, Quavo, everybody," he said. The "Crank That" rapper got involved in the heated fued with Brown after he allegedly liked a Instagram photo of Tran, who is Brown's ex-girlfriend. Soulja, 26, took to Twitter on Monday to say Brown called him and threatened to fight him, a claim Brown later denied as he angrily fired back.
Brown wrote on instagram in Tuesday "ROYALTY (Brown's daughter) IS 2 AND HAS 5 times more money than SOULJA boy already, I'd be mad too." The two hip-hop artists continued to trade barbs throughout the day, with Soulja boy referencing Brown's 2009 abuse of pop star Rihanna and accusing him of drug use. Meanwhile Brown asked professional boxer Adrien Broner to set up a fight between him and the "Pretty Boy Swag" rapper.
Brown, 27, hasn't yet responded to Soulja Boy's apology. Let's hope that Soulja Boy really takes this apology seriously and puts forth effort to right his wrongs, but even more so, let's pray for him and his mother.
