Most especially if you have pimple, a concealer can help hide and make your pimples go away time after time. Concealers chime in very handy... (for concealing...lol) it is also essential to have a shade that suits thou skin, two shades lighter than that and two shades darker than that.

3. What to choose: Liquid or powder?

For some, they love powder while others like cream or liquid foundation better. There are also ladies who love both. When you've experimented, it's up to you too ask yourself which you prefer.

4. Blush.
Another makeup product which can be intimidating to a beginner to makeup is a blusher. Keep in mind ladies that there’s nothing to be intimidated about. Just find the right shade which suits your skin tone and do not put on too much blush. A bit can already go a long way.

6. Putting eyeshadow.

The best trick to applying eyeshadow is to begin with an eye base or an eye primer and put it around your eye area up to the brow bone. Make sure you have invested in quality brushes with different types. The flat ones are the best for depositing the eyeshadow while the fluffy ones are for blending. Other important types of brush which you should have include a beauty blender or foundation brush, a blush brush, an angled liner brush and a crease blending brush. If you have blue eyes and putting on eyeshadow, simple makeup tips for blue eyes include using a white pencil. What is this for? To highlight the color of your eyeshadow, you can use a white pencil on your eyelids before putting the eyeshadow. This makes the color stand out. If you want to create smoky eyes, utilize creamy eye pencils as the base for a more intense or stronger effect. Meanwhile, if you like to create brown smoky eyes, use a brown pencil as the base.

7. Lipstick
.
This simple makeup tip for beginners should never be overlooked. There are tons of lipstick colors and shades out there which you can try. The best one should highlight and bring out the fullness of your lips.

HOW PRACTICAL ARE SELFCARE THREADS?

Like I said in my last post, I decided to open an instagram account for self-care threads and other tips, generally girls related issues. They mostly talk about loving yourself, being nice to yourself, being positive, being confident, accepting your flaws, and appreciating your imperfections......and a whole lot of things.
But then, we should ask ourselves how practical are these thing? On a scale of 1-10, I'd say 2....why?
It gets busy, you get busy, between sleeping in the early hours of the morning, waking up 5hours later, getting ready for classes, having 7 or 8 hours classes with just an hour break, you get back to your dorm, really tired, but then you've got to cook, do a little decluttering, keep up with your social, talk to your parents, probably have a 1hr nap cuz your head may be throbbing, then you wake up and it's 8 o'clock.....what! You may take sometime to boot to be fully awake, drink enough water, eat healthy, you've got assig…

A little fickle spice : #selfcare & #selflove + 10 affirmations.

Yes, it is a thing. And it's all about you!  You!! You!!! You!!!!. I mean if your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete. You've got to take care of your mind and body, it's the only place you have to live. It is very essential to take time to do what makes your soul happy and keeps you at peace.
Two major things that affect how your day goes, regardless of being able to control the events that may take place are: Your state of mind and your self-esteem (confidence).
Selflove is more about things that have to do with your state of mind, the way you think, anxiety, depression, irritability or even stress. So, showing yourself self love helps you relax and think better.
Affirmations are also a critical part of this. It doesn't just involve saying it to fulfil all righteousness, you say it over and over until you believe it and it stays with you all day. You say it, you feel it and it becomes a part of you.

My fitness routine #growth

Lol....this one time, I tried settling for less and lost so much weight (lesson: don't settle for less). Aren't some guys just cowards? Listen ladies, do not let anyone take your feelings for a joke and leave without giving any explanation, always remember that you deserve the best, do not give anyone the opportunity to play with your emotions and go free, like nun happened. Anyways, this is a topic for another time, cuz I'm bout to start spitting profanities.
So, I went for. Sleepless nights and appetite loss for a total b.s nigga, to toothache. Pulled two teeth, couldn't eat a week, then I went to fever. By the time these were done, I went from 58kg to 54.3kg. Total deflation. DEFLATION!. It was so sad, I looked sick, my clothes didn't fit anymore. My butt and hips *pooof*. It was so surreal. That's some emotional sturv you know.
But then I got back on my grind. My inspiration? My birthday. It was like three weeks to and I can't  afford…

What's the stereotype? #1 My Dreads!

So..... I decided to dread my hair(mostly because I was brooklyn), and I actually did it myself. After hours of twisting and stretching, it came out pretty well, and with hyping from my roomies, I took it to class on Monday. I got a lot of comments, although there was this one person that said it looked like periwinkles *bleh* . I felt cool tho' and edgy. Like I could actually run my hand through my hair.
Took it for bout three days and I was tired already. Lol. Got to class on Friday, I had zoology, the lecturer was giving an assignment, and you'll have to get up to take your serial number, so it got to my turn and the first thing she asked me was 'what's on your head? ', the she was like 'is it feather or thread?'. I just had to laugh, it was so funny, I laughed so hard she started smiling.
Then she was like the hairstyle isn't for responsible girls, and that I looked to gentle and lovely for such hairstyle. Oh she even went further to…
